My name is Shelby Rubin and I went to the University of Florida for an undergraduate degree in Telecommunications with a minor in business. While at UF, I determined that I wanted to make a career in the music industry and began managing the social media of a local band. After being in charge of the social media strategy for two years, I was promoted to the band manager. This led me to explore my options of studying the music business at a graduate level. In September of 2019, I enrolled in NYU's Masters in Music Business program. After graduation in May of 2021, I decided to combine both my skills and passions to start my own digital marketing and management firm. Determined to help independent artists get the recognition they deserve, I have continued to learn everything I possibly can about social media, public relations, and even website development. Today, I have developed a one-of-a-kind digital marketing agency created with musicians in mind.  I am proud to say Major Tom has seen a number of great successes in its short existence!
